Ах, Мэри!

Окончен бал. Погасли свечи.
Ах, Мэри, вот и дом родной.
Сегодня принц произносил ей речи.
Но кто теперь увидит, скажет: "Ой!"

Достав глаза свои вставные,
Их спрятала она в комод.
Осталось зубки вытащить и ныне
Не узнает ее народ.

Ведь изменилась. Стала чуть другая.
Парик сняла и стала лысой.
Еще нога же костяная.
И уши уж давно не слышат.

Секрет окрылся нам сейчас.
Не должен знать его никто.
Красива Мэри только час:
Когда на бал идет. И всё!

Three little witches

It was an autumn night
The gloss of stars was rather bright
This night three witches solemnly came out.
Beautiful costumes. Oh, pretty children!...Why do they shout?

The time to walk away and play
The time to make the people pray
Three charming ladies holding a broomstick
Fly to the moon to give a scary kick.

Long skirts, a crazy hair-do. They are so nice!
I love, love, love the witches in disguise
Their dark and crazy, sweety thoughts...
They're real ladies, who love forget-me-nots.

Halloween is just the only happy day
When pretty ladies gain the horror fame
"So",- say the witches, - "When shall we meet again:
In thunder, lightning or in rain?"

What a strange night!

Once upon a time there lived a little girl. She was a princess for her grandparents and they loved her a lot. The family lived in a small house which was situated in the ordinary village.
So, the girl's room was upstairs. She liked it a lot, because there was a big window and before sleep she used to look at the night sky and count the brightest stars.
It was autumn. Everyone was preparing for such a horrible, but at the same time funny holiday. It was Halloween.  The girl used to decorate her house in a special way. But her grandparents were against decorating it with pumpkins. They seemed awful to them and very scaring. Only in the girl's room the pumpkin was placed. It was a kind of fun for the girl, to create a "Jumping-Pumpkin", as she called it. Co, she placed a candle in the pumpkin. It was great. The girl couldn't keep the joy of her creation.
The night before Halloween the girl looked at the stars and fall asleep, as usual. The "Jumping-Pumpkin" was standing on the table. But in the morning the trouble happened. There had been the girl's favorite ring on the table. But in the morning there was nothing. It has disappeared. The girl decided that the Pumpkin had stolen it.

So, in the evening of Halloween she wanted to look at the Pumpkin. She knew, it would be the result. She would expose it!
But, at the same time, the girl was scared a lot. It seemed fantastic that a pumpkin could become alive and steel her ring. But there were no any other ideas and it was Halloween, the night when everything seemed real.
In the evening she lighted the candle, put it in the pumpkin, put the other ring on the table near the pumpkin and went out of the room, instead of going to bed. But she didn't close the door. She was staying in front of the room, in the absolute gloom of the Halloween night. Everything was scaring. Every sound, every rustle, every blow of the wind were making her tremble. But she continued to look at the Pumpkin. She believed that she had to wait a little and she would expose this insidious robber.

And suddenly the raven flew in the room, caught the ring and flew away. The girl was shocked. She couldn't spell a word. "Oh, my God!", - she thought. - "The raven was my Halloween strange guest who had stolen my ring!"
And that moment the Pumpkin smiled to the girl and the candle blew out. "What a strange night!" - the girl said and went to bed.

Contemporary art

Contemporary art is the whole set of the artistic practice which emerged in the second half of the 20^th century. Contemporary art can sometimes seem at odds with a public that does not feel that art and its institutions share its values. In Britain in the 1990s contemporary art became a part of popular culture, with artists becoming stars, but this did not lead to a hoped-for "cultural utopia".

There are a lot of kinds of art. The most interesting for me were the following.

1. NanoArt – it’s a new kind of art which is connected with the creation of sculptures of micro- and nano sizes. It is also possible to work with the black-and-white photos in the graphics editor, such as Photo-shop or others. NanoArt is a 3D- art which renders the atmosphere of the picture by means of color and scope.

2. Twisting is a technique of making sculptures using balloons. The process begins with the creating outlines on the paper, then the artist makes a former from the light materials. Then the outlines should be braided with the balloons and we can see the masterpiece.

3. Kinetic art is a tendency of the contemporary art which is connected with the wide usage of movable constructions and other elements of movement. In many cases the movement is made by the changes of the lighting. The movement can be included in different ways: by fluctuations of the air quality, electromagnetic force or simply using the engine. Movement of the object can be supplemented by different effects such as illumination, sound, light show or a motion picture.

4. Animation is a kind of animated cartoons. Animation has a large audience and recognition throughout the world. It is used in television series, films, video, video games, commercials, and internet-based releases, and represents most, if not all, genres of fiction. It is characterized by the heightened attention to the details: every trifle can have a great sense for the spectators. 

5. Nail art represents the skill of nail-painting. Firstly this kind of art was used by Afro-Americans but soon it interested all other women. Modern nail-art consists of several kinds and tendencies which are characterized by different kinds of putting the picture on the nails.

6. Piercing is a kind of art which means an art of puncturing your body in attempt to decorate it. There are a lot of variants of the possible piercing such as piercing of the nose, of lips, of ears, of the tongue, of the novel and even piercing of coccyx and brain-piercing.

7. Body art is another art to decorate your body. In a wide sense I consists of make up, tattoo, mandy (bio-tattoo with the usage of henna) and bodypainting itself. It’s not enough to make beautiful pictures on the body. The artist should make an entire image.

8. Visual poetry is a genre of the contemporary art which is situated on the joint of literature and traditional modern art (painting and graphics).

9. Installation is the art of individuality. It is one of the tendencies of the contemporary art which traces its roots to the surrealism. Installation shows multiple meaning of the things around us, shows their hidden senses and traits.

10. Computer design is an area of design itself where computer is used as the tool for industrial design and projection.

11. Stamp art is the name of one of the areas of the subject collecting of postmarks and signs of the post payment which are devoted to the art, masterpieces of the world's culture, paintings, sculptures and other artworks. 

12. Modern dance. This conception unites many styles and trends of dancing. The dominant point there is the spirit of freedom and there are no taboos and bans.

13. Photography is a really great component of the contemporary art. It gives an opportunity to imprint many aspects of life which are invisible for people. Photography can also refract the reality and make us take it and see in the absolutely new way.

14. Stuckism is an international art movement. Although painting is the dominant artistic form of Stuckism, artists using other media such as photography, sculpture, film and collage have also joined, and share the Stuckist opposition to conceptualism and ego-art.

15. Fire Art is a term used to describe a piece of art that uses active flames as an essential part of the piece. It has a direct impact on its surrounding by consuming materials and by throwing off heat and light. It is an active medium, constantly moving and appearing to be alive. There is an inherent perceived danger to fire.

But what I liked most among numerous kinds of contemporary art is pin-up. It was born in 30^th but now it is modernized and shows us real masterpieces. Pin-up arose due to the advertisement of Coca-Cola and Lucky Strike. This kind of art represents nice photos of the girls who are dressed in beautiful dresses, charming blouses and skirts, their make-up is perfect and they are the embodiment of a good taste, beauty and youth.

I believe that pine-up girls, who are the models for the artists working in this trend, are those who tell the world about the new trends in fashion. These photos are made in retro-style but models are dressed fashionably and they are still like the etalons of the contemporary beauty. 

Goals of the contemporary art

For sure, new trends and tendencies in modern life bear new, so-called contemporary art. It is the modern language of communication in the society. The frames are broadened and modern art consists of many kinds of “arts” and tendencies. Many years ago art was a kind of intimate conversation of an artist with his masterpiece. Now it has passed to many aspects: film making, pop-art, body-art, piercing, video art, installation, performance and so on. The one that remains unchangeable is the world and its perception and expression by means of the special language – the language of art. But modern artists have a very difficult task which is to tell the world their own words, to find absolutely new idea, an original form and to amaze the audience and true connoisseurs of art. 

I think that one of the main goals of the contemporary art is to draw the attention of the people who have a specific way of thinking and philosophical position. It’s not a kind of art for art. It's art for people and people's minds. It exists to make people think about the surrounding realities in an extraordinary, different way. 

The second goal of the contemporary art is to interest not all people, but those who appreciate exactly this type of art. People can choose what they like. They don't have to make themselves like what is popular. They can be fans of what they are really fond of. 

Another important goal of art nowadays is to show the realities of our life which can be hidden from people. It is really important not to live in the vacuum or in the “perfect life” which was synthetically made by us, but to be ready to interpret life as it is.

The most important goal of the contemporary art is to evoke a response from the hearts of the spectators by means of their feelings and emotions; to turn the audience out of the social sleep and to attract people's attention to their lives. 

What is also necessary for the modern art is to give every person a chance to show his or her talent. There are a lot of installations, art-centers and galleries for young artists where volunteers can try themselves in art or they can show the audience their masterpieces. The goal is to discover new people, new tendencies and new trends thanks to the view of young people on the world and problems existing around us.

I think that a very significant role of art in our life is its participation in attempts to solve the problems of the world. Many artists suggest their vision of the solution of many problems. Also, in their works artists can show their suppositions about the reasons of the occurrence of some disasters, accidents and cataclysms in the world. And the task of the society is not to ignore this, but to consider their opinion, to make some conclusions from what we have seen, due to the artists.

There are many cases when people with the bad health can't be a full-fledged part of life and of the world. In such cases art becomes a helper, a hope for salvation for them. The goal of art is to give people a chance to become the part of the society, to show people that they can also be talented and have a very creative thinking. 

So, as a conclusion, I can say that contemporary art gives people many different possibilities and also has a lot of goals which are rather important for the modern life.

What is art?

I guess, nowadays, it is difficult to give a right, capacious, full-fledged definition of art. Many centuries and years ago people didn't have art itself. They even didn't know that some trivial components of their life would become a part of the world's art. And art has not always been what we think it is today. But some people try to identify art as the product or process of deliberately arranging items (often with symbolic significance) in a way that influences and affects senses, emotions, and intellect. 

Goethe defined art as a second nature, according to his ideal of a style that is to be found on the very basic fundaments of insight and on the innermost character of things.

According to Wikipedia, the word art can describe several things: a study of creative skill, a process of using the creative skill, a product of the creative skill, or the audience's experience with the creative skill.

Leo Tolstoy thought that art began when one person, with the object of joining another or others to himself in one and the same feeling, expressed that feeling by certain external indications.

But I think that art is the reason for many arguments and discussions. The simplest example is the definition of the art itself. For many centuries famous writers, scientists and other people have been trying to find out the right definition of this phenomenon. As for me, art is a very versatile conception. 

I consider art to be the part of the person's sole which is responsible for realization of the ideas which are paradoxical in the ordinary life. Also, art is a possibility to make your dreams come true. And I think it is wrong to think that not every person can become an artist. Deep in the sole of everyone of us dispositions for art live.. The thing is that not every person can understand your own art, and not everything you do can be called “art”.

For instance, I think that there are a lot of kinds of art. As for me, every occupation has its own sphere where masterpieces can be made. And they are also the components of the art in it's wide sense. 

It is art to speak for the audience and to persuade many-many people by telling them your own thoughts. It is an incredible art to behave children, to make them intelligent, tolerant and to share knowledge you have. Governing the city, the country, the kingdom is also not a very easy thing and you have to be an artist to cope with this task. 

It’s art to have a friend, to travel, to make jewelries, to cook, to sing and dance, to invent and innovate some technical devices, to paint, to make incredible sculptures, to sew, to write books, to make films and so on. 

Art is a dialogue with your heart and soul.
